You got mad at me for dressing like her....
You think I don't know but I do...
You think I don't know you want her.....
You make it seem like you don't
But, I know you did,
And I know you still do.
You talk badly of her because she got rid of you,
You get mad at me for dressing like her
Because you still want her.
I want you....
But you still want her....
You know she'll never love you....
You don't know,
But, I'm really the only one that still wants to see you,
The only one that still wants you around.
But, you still wish it was her that wanted to see you,
You wish it was her that'd kept you around
Instead of me,
Instead of someone that looked like her....
You think I don't know,
You thought I couldn't tell....
I know you wish I was her.
What other reason is there to explain
Why you'd yell at me for something so simple?
You won't love me,
Because I'm not her.
Well, you don't get it.
I'm not trying to be her....
I'm trying to be me....
And, "me" just happens to be like her....
And you don't like that....
Do you?
It bugs you....
Doesn't it?
It bugs you that you couldn't keep her.
But, you should really think before you accuse me
Of trying to be like her to make you want me.
I wanted you,
But, why would I change myself to make you want me.
Why would I try to be someone else for you?
Why would I want you to love me
Just because I look like someone else?
You don't get it,
You may not ever get it,
But I'm not like that.
I'm "me"....not her,
I'll never be her,
I'll always be just "me"
And I will not change myself for you.
If you don't want me the way I was when we met,
It's your loss....
But, if you finally get over her,
And realize what you so easily could have had....
I won't be here waiting for you anymore.
I'll be so far from here....
And I won't be coming back.
